PIANO ADVENTURE PROGRAM
ages 3 and 7
Are you are considering piano lessons for your child, but worried they might be too young? Music Steps Academy is the perfect place for them to get started. They will learn in a warm and nurturing environment and will be excited to come to lesson every week.
Our developmentally-appropriate piano program is specifically designed for younger beginners ages 3-7 to keep them engaged and have fun while learning
Your child will have some time at the piano making music and do off-bench activities and games to help reinforce learned concepts.
We will work on establishing good piano posture, developing pitch, rhythm, healthy technique, and preparing for note-reading.
After completing Piano Adventure program, they may transition to Piano Express, our small group program that will prepare them for more advanced studies.
PIANO EXPRESS PROGRAM
ages 7 and up
Our “Piano Express“program is designed for beginners ages 6-12 or our “ Piano Adventure” graduates to prepare them for advanced studies.
During their hour-long classes, students will work independently with headphones on and then do a group activity in the last 15-20 min of the class.
Multi-leveled class format allows students to join at anytime during the semester and progress at their own pace.
Parents can drop off multiple children at once and have an entire hour to run some errands.
The Piano Express curriculum is supported by cutting-edge web software that allows students to learn the material quicker as opposed to traditional methods.
After students complete all 6 levels, they will be ready for more advanced one-on-one lessons that we offer through our “Piano Journey” program.
PIANO JOURNEY PROGRAM
ages 13 and up
Our “Piano Journey” program would be a great fit for older beginners, transfer students with previous experience, or our “Piano Express” graduates who are committed to piano and ready for more advanced studies.
During their one-on-one 45 min lessons, students will work on exploring a larger variety of repertoire and in-depth music theory and focus on perfecting their technique and musicality.
Dedicated home practice on a well-maintained acoustic piano or full size (88 keys) digital piano with weighted keys is expected.
Lessons will include occasional workshops and master classes.
Students will be encouraged to participate in performances other than studio recitals (additional fees may be required).
